Responsibilities include setting up a QIS materials synthesis laboratory, designing and growing quantum materials, and performing physics property characterizations using advanced techniques. The role also involves working in a highly collaborative environment, training and managing students, developing new proposals, and managing laboratory operations and scientific collaborations. The researcher is encouraged to lead independent projects resulting in high-impact publications.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Quantum material characterization by quantum transport measurements or optical approaches.
• Proven ability to disseminate research results by writing manuscripts and giving academic presentations.
• Prior experience in single crystal growth (flux, vapor transport, floating-zone, unidirectional solidification, and electrochemical methods).
• Prior experience in thin film growth (PLD, MBE, and CVD methods).
• Experience in crystal and interface structure determination with x-ray diffraction/scattering/spectroscopy.
• Experience in transport and magnetic property characterization using Quantum Design’s MPMS/PPMS and dilution refrigerators.
• Prior experience in 2D electronic device fabrication and transport measurements in dilution refrigerators and optical spectroscopy.
• Prior experience in light-matter interaction device fabrication and characterizations, including lab setups.
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
