**Job Description**
The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) is seeking a Research Assistant to join Professor Marco Tomamichel’s research group. This role focuses on an ongoing project that utilizes semiring techniques, particularly the theory of asymptotic spectra, to identify quantum or classical relative entropies and other entropic quantities relevant to large-sample and catalytic majorization in classical or quantum statistical experiments. The successful candidate will contribute to this project by leveraging familiarity with real-algebraic methods.

**Skills & Abilities**
� Strong mathematical background, particularly an affinity with real-algebraic techniques utilized in this project
� Proven capacity for working with co-workers
� Experience as a teaching assistant for university-level courses
� Strong communication and writing skills

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
� Mathematics
� (Mathematical) Physics
� Computer Science

**Experience**
Other:
� Experience in academic research in a closely related field
