**Job Description**
A research fellow position is available to work on a UKRI Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) funded project titled “Dynamic and Adaptable Monitoring of Greenhouse Gas Emissions with Robots.” The project addresses the challenge of accurately measuring greenhouse gas emissions by developing an autonomous, mobile gas flux tower. This system comprises a helium-filled aerodynamic kite tethered to an autonomous ground vehicle, with multiple vehicles designed to operate together to create high-resolution maps of emissions and airflow at unprecedented spatial resolutions. The role includes industrial collaboration and extensive fieldwork.
